Thank you for re-electing me as your Councillor

The Council election results from the vote on 2 May have been declared and I’m delighted to have been re-elected with 57% of the vote.

I am hugely grateful that so many of you put your trust in me to continue working as your Councillor.

We have achieved a huge amount together since 2017 but there is a huge amount more to do – and I look forward to continuing to represent you and this amazing place we live.

So, please, keep reporting it and I’ll keep doing all I can to sort it!

Speak soon and thank you.

My name is George and I’m proud to have been your Councillor since 2017.

My motto is ‘You report it and I’ll sort it’. You elected me to deliver results. Together, we’ve done that.

I am a truly local candidate. I live in Lightcliffe and I was educated in the Ward. My first job was working as a paper boy in Hipperholme. I also worked at Lightcliffe Tea Rooms.

Recently, I completed my Masters in Law so I’m not a Councillor who lives in the Town Hall, I live in the real world – and I’m a Councillor here because I love where we live.

I do things differently and I’m not your ‘off the shelf’ politician. I speak out when the Council get things wrong, and I stand up against inappropriate housing development. I also attend community events and litter picks.

I’m very accessible. Please check out my facebook page or give me a call. I’d be delighted to speak with you.

You can read more on this website about what I’ve sorted and what I’m sorting right now.

Thank you.
